About the Facility Atlanta VAMC
Atlanta VA Medical Center (VAMC) a Joint Commission designated medical facility sits on 26 acres in Decatur Georgiajust minutes from downtown Atlanta. The main medical center is a level 1A tertiary care facility providing patient-centered healthcare via an array of comprehensive medical surgical geriatric specialty services as well as state-ofthe-art diagnostic testing throughout 14 sites of care. With 466 inpatient beds including a 120-bed Community Living Center a 40-bed domiciliary and a 21-bed Residential Treatment Program the Atlanta VAMC is uniquely positioned to serve the healthcare needs of more than 130000 enrolled Veterans living in 50 counties across northeast Georgia. The Medical Center also a teaching hospital provides hands-on and state-of-the-art technology education and research to residents in collaboration with Emory University School of Medicine and Morehouse School of Medicine.

Breast Imaging Specialist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
Te radiologist shall be responsible for providing Breast Specialty Radiology procedures including but not limited to:
- Reading mammograms
- Interpreting Imaging studies including mammography ultrasound and MRI
- Preforming Diagnostic Procedures
- Collaborating with Healthcare Teams
- Patient Consultations
- Staying current on the latest developments and advance in the field of breast imaging
- Participating in continuing education opportunities to maintain enhanced knowledge and skills
- Overseeing the mammography program and assuring daily compliance with imaging quality standards
- Ensuring mammography program follows and meeta all requirements as set forth by ACR FDA/VHA and MQSA
Radiology Physician - REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Radiology Physician within the last 2 years.
- Education: Completion of a Radiology residency program AND a fellowship in Breast Imaging
- Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiology by ABR AOBR or ABIM.
- License: Must have an active unrestricted medical license and radiology certification.
- BLS Certification: Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Specialization: Experience in diagnostic radiology CT ultrasound 3D Tomosynthesis mammography and MRI
