Unit Notes
**CHOMP is a smoke-free facility - all drug reports must have a negative result for nicotine/cotinine. If tested positive will submit for review if traveler has been prescribed a nicotine patch. For all reports with no legitimate reason for positive nicotine/cotinine the contract will be cancelled.

Department: Radiology - General X-Ray Tech
General Certification Requirements (BLS etc.) BLS CA State license (must have upon submission)
Certs/ARRT & other specialty certification requirements ARRT anc CA Fluoro
Strong preference for CA Fluoro license (NOTE: if candidates have RHF - means they also have Fluoro license) Fluoro & OR if have this
How many scanners/rooms does this department have
Will they have to float/cover any other areas Inpatient & outpatient at the hospital. Imaging in all areas
Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties Inpatient & outpatient at the hospital. Imaging in all areas (*Must have fluoro license in order to image in OR - however this is only preferred.)
Experience or Must have skills Preferred have 2 years of actual hospital experience. CT experience would be a PLUS.
Average # of scans/studies per day
EMR &/or PACS (Picture Archive & Communication System: software & hardware) do they use EMR - Epic - experience is a plus but not a deal breaker

Department specific orientation Travelers will complete a packet for orientation. Orientation documents are completed through the employee internet.
Department specific orientation in the department. Amount of orientation depends on experience. Typically between 3 - 6 shifts. Will only train at the hospital. Not off-site.
Additional Notes Candidates must be professional clean & neat. Department is very structured. The clientele at CHOMP is very unique. All candidates must be 100% patient focused & very customer service oriented. Professional empathetic & positive attitudes are a must. .
