Job Summary
A leading manufacturing organization in Memphis TN is seeking a Quality Technician II to support production quality documentation accuracy and compliance with customer and internal requirements. Responsibilities include inspection of materials and finished goods management of NCRs validation of manufacturing documentation and coordination of quality-related activities across production engineering and customer teams. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or Associates degree and 2-5 years of related experience in a manufacturing or quality environment.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing quality inspection or technician role
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes inspection methods and quality systems
- Experience with NCR systems inspection documentation or quality tracking tools preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify documentation gaps
Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of materials components and finished goods including first article in-process and end-of-line reviews
- Conduct defect analysis and support reporting of production quality issues
- Generate update and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) ensuring complete and accurate data documentation
- Support dispositioning of nonconforming materials and coordinate MRB activities
- Review manufacturing documentation specifications and quality records to ensure accuracy completeness and alignment to acceptance criteria
- Validate FAT/EOL reports inspection data and quality documentation prior to submission
- Maintain and update quality tracking systems (e.g. NCR trackers observation systems inspection logs)
- Ensure proper documentation upload and accessibility across required systems and platforms
- Support cross-functional communication to resolve missing data incomplete reports and open quality issues
- Coordinate quality execution activities and shift-to-shift handoff
- Assist in retraining activities for updated specifications and acceptance criteria
- Maintain inspection records logs and quality documentation in accordance with company procedures
- Participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
- Identify recurring quality issues and escalate trends to Quality Engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook and Teams
- General computer competency including ability to navigate multiple systems and manage digital records efficiently
