POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing final inspection of wire harnesses cable assemblies and printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies to ensure compliance with customer specifications engineering drawings IPC workmanship standards and internal quality procedures. This position serves as the final quality gate prior to shipment across both American Cable & Harness (ACH) and Electronic Technologies International (ETI) ensuring only conforming products are released to customers.
As a team player committed to our companys success this inspector will support both facilities with the ability to identify process improvements work cross-functionally with Production and Engineering teams and contribute to our continuous improvement initiatives. During the first 90120 days this role includes structured training across both ACH and ETI facilities to build comprehensive expertise in wire harness and PCB inspection.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Final Product Inspection
Perform final inspection of wire harnesses cable assemblies box build assemblies and PCB assemblies
Verify all products conform to customer drawings specifications Bills of Material (BOMs) and work instructions
Ensure all products meet IPC workmanship requirements (IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC-A-610)
Verify labeling serialization packaging documentation and customer-specific requirements
Complete inspection documentation accurately and maintain product traceability
Approve or reject finished products based on acceptance criteria

Wire Harness Inspection (Primary at ACH)
Inspect in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620:
Wire routing and dress crimp quality terminal insertion connector orientation
Pin location verification wire strip lengths heat shrink installation
Cable tie placement cable identification strain relief splices
Shield terminations torque verification mechanical hardware installation

PCB Assembly Inspection (Primary at ETI)
Inspect in accordance with IPC-A-610:
Solder joint quality component placement and orientation polarized device verification
Lead trimming solder bridges insufficient/excessive solder lifted pads
Damaged components Foreign Object Debris (FOD) conformal coating (when applicable)
Mechanical assembly and connector installation

Quality Support & Continuous Improvement
Communicate defects to Production and Quality Manager
Verify effectiveness of rework before product release
Assist with root cause investigations and corrective action activities
Support continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 23 years of manufacturing inspection experience
Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams
Ability to interpret BOMs and assembly documentation
Excellent attention to detail and visual inspection capability
Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
IPC/WHMA-A-620 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS)
IPC-A-610 Certified IPC Specialist (CIS)
Experience inspecting cable assemblies and PCB assemblies
ISO 9001 and ESD handling experience
Experience with precision measuring equipment (calipers micrometers microscopes)
ERP/MRP software experience (ShopWorX preferred)
