Seeking a creative forward-thinking process-minded effective communicator to join our team. The Quality Supervisors responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Leading and fostering a culture of quality at their operating location.
- Engage team and improve Safety of all NTS operations.
- Directly responsible for day-to-day quality activities at their division.
- Directly responsible for building coaching and mentoring the quality team at their division.
- Tracking and reporting on quality performance back charges re-work etc for all departments.
- Ensure compliance with procedures and audit established procedures internally and externally Lead train coach and develop Quality Department personnel on quality requirements procedures
- Identify potential areas of risk and make recommendations.
This position will be in Crawfordsville IN but may require occasional travel to other production facilities job sites vendors/suppliers etc. on an as required basis.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- 5 years of direct experience in a Quality Management role for an AISC or ISO certified fabrication shop
- Experience with AISC certifications and related audit processes
- Experience in customer interactions audits and field issue resolution
- Working knowledge of AWS D1.1
- Knowledge of NDT Methods such as UT MT and VT
