As our Quality Specialist you will report to the Manager of engineering and quality.
You will be aligned to the Poultry Division and located in Gainesville GA.
This is an Onsite role - Hybrid schedule 4 days in office/1 days from home.
Communicating and explaining the quality system both inside and outside the organization (i.e. to suppliers)
Initiating and organizing the implementation of actions after abnormalities have occurred so that (similar) abnormalities can be prevented
Motivating encouraging coaching and influencing new behavioral patterns both within the internal organization and at suppliers
Operations responsibilities:
Adhere and ensure conformance to all Internal Quality procedures
Identifying handling and coordinating containment actions after articles have been produced either internally or externally that do not comply with the specifications
Drawing up and analyzing investigation and control results and the distribution of reports
Formulating measurement plans and 3D measurement programs
Suspending production and freezing stock if abnormalities are discovered
Verifying faults and abnormalities and determining the level of non-conformity
Carrying out incoming inspections stock inspections process inspections and end product inspections

Ensure calibration equipment standards are maintained
Following international quality ISO 9001 -2015 Standard
Production reporting
Monitor and carry out Marel standard procedures when supplier discrepancies are identified
Continuous Improvement
Provide support as required in the improvement of quality-related processes
Participation in internal and external quality consultation meetings and improvement projects
Demonstrate continuous performance of duties according to Marel HSE standards and policies
Assist in root cause analysis process mapping etc. to make incremental changes to process and procedures
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in QA as an auditor technician or specialist responsible for maintaining quality standards
- Manufacturing experience working on the plant floor and with operations teams to correct issues
- Work with vendors and customers to improve process and quality control
- Must understand fit form and function and stack tolerances of manufactured equipment
- Knowledge and experience of operation measuring tools and equipment
- Knowledge of Lean methodology root cause and/or Six Sigma experience
- Understand and engage in 5S methodology
- Knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerancing
- Ability to read technical drawings
