- Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Approves in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; when applicable returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.
- Consistently works on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues. Makes recommendations for new procedures.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.
- Evaluate problems and make recommendations.
- Participates in the Corrective Action process.
- Pay will be $23-$25 hourly with a 10% added differential for second shift operators
- 5 years Quality Control experience in Inspection is preferred.
- Knowledge of International Standard ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems a plus.
- Use computerized data collection equipment and software to record inspection data and generate process capability and other SQC charts.
- Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers calipers optical comparators force gages. Knowledge of Keyence inspection machine a plus.
- Evaluate and complete special customer quality assurance requirements (i.e. first article inspection SPC charts and data and other customer paperwork)
- Preferred skill/experience 2) Read and interpret blueprints and drawings. Working knowledge of GD&T and must understand the x y z coordinate system.
- General proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word a plus
