Job Summary
OMCO a MacLean-Fogg Company is hiring a Quality Inspector at our Phoenix Arizona manufacturing this role you will inspect in-process and finished products use precision measuring equipment document results and help ensure products meet established quality and reliability standards.
Location: Phoenix AZ
Work Arrangement: On-site
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday-Thursday 4:00 AM-2:30 PM; Friday as needed
Pay: $21/hour
Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly
Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished products to verify they meet established specifications and quality requirements.
Conduct first-piece inspections to confirm newly produced items meet quality requirements before mass production begins.
Properly use and maintain measuring and gaging instruments including calipers micrometers gauges and similar equipment to assess product quality and ensure accurate measurements.
Record inspection results and statistical data enter information into tracking systems or logs and maintain accurate inspection records non-conformance reports and other required documentation.
Identify non-conformities or quality issues communicate concerns clearly and escalate issues to higher-level quality staff or supervisors when necessary.
Maintain the Master Calibration List monitor calibration due dates and help ensure inspection and measuring equipment remains calibrated and compliant.
Perform incoming hardware inspections assist with shipping-log quantity verification and complete required documentation.
Support quality audits and documentation activities while maintaining 5S standards and following applicable safety environmental and quality policies and procedures.
No specific educational credential is required.
No prior experience is required; candidates with up to 2 years of experience are welcome.
Ability to interpret and follow detailed work instructions and quality standards.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects deviations from standards and product or process non-conformities.
Basic verbal and written communication skills to document inspection results provide feedback and report quality issues.
Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions tolerances and statistical data.
Basic knowledge of quality control tools and techniques including gaging instruments such as micrometers calipers and height gauges.
Basic computer skills for entering data into tracking systems and preparing inspection reports.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment collaborate with inspectors and production staff and contribute to solutions that improve product quality.
This role involves extended periods of standing and performing visual inspections using measuring equipment. The position requires the ability to lift and move hardware weighing up to 35 pounds.
