You will perform routine visual and mechanical inspections to ensure components and assemblies meet aerospace quality standards. Your work directly supports the QA team auditors and production stakeholders to maintain AS9100/ISO compliance. This is an onsite role on a 4/10 schedule (MondayThursday 5:00am3:30pm) working primarily first shift.
- Perform routine visual inspection of soldered connections and mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
- Apply inspector process knowledge and standard procedures to execute routine tasks and acceptance/rejection reporting
- Prepare documentation for inspected and tested items and participate in corrective action follow-ups
- Implement and maintain technical quality assurance procedures
- Inspect wires and sensors using ring gauges calipers torque ranges micrometers and other measurement tools
- Support and participate in internal audits and AS9100/ISO compliance activities
- Maintain regular consistent and punctual attendance; be available for variable schedules nights weekends or additional hours as necessary
- High school diploma
- 12 years of relevant inspection or quality experience
- Experience using gauges calipers torque ranges filler gauges lead partition gauges and micrometers
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and aerospace quality standards such as AS9100
- Experience completing First Article Inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102
- Ability to follow detailed job instructions and apply a systematic quality assurance approach
- Skilled at measuring and using test equipment and interpreting blueprints drawings and parts lists
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Experience with a wide range of inspection tools (height gauges pin and block gauges V-blocks surface inspection tables comparators)
- Experience creating First Article Inspection Reports to customer-specific requirements
- Experience performing internal audits and recording results
- Knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
$18.14 - $22.68/hour
