Job Summary

This Quality Engineering Technician position will interface with internal manufacturing engineering purchasing & vendors.

Maintain quality system requirements for ISO 9001 ATEX and PED.

Be actively involved with continuous improvement activities across the business.

Responsibilities

• Using Quality Tools for the Analysis of defects in materials and products.
• Ensure that the quality assurance measures within the company procedures are adhered to at any stage of manufacture.
• Support measurement / validation of samples.
• Conduct goods inward sampling Inspections of vendor products to drawing / specifications.
• Reviewing / processing vendor non-conforming product raising rejections / debits & SCAR reports.
• Maintenance of the calibration system (Internal / External calibration).
• Generating company certificates Material certificates / Test certificates Certificates of conformity.
• Supporting dispatch dock audits.
• Analysis of SNN Aftermarket / Warranty Returns and technical raise reports.
• Undertake any other duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the role.

Basic Qualifications

• Apprentice trained with minimum of 5 years working in an Engineering environment Desirable.
• Experience with ISO management systems and SAP Desirable.
• Experience of working in a quality role in a manufacturing environment Desirable.
• Able to work and contribute within a team Essential.
• Auditing experience Desirable.
• Hands on approach Essential.
• Ability to understand/read engineering drawings Essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel Word etc. Essential.
• Proficient in the use of small measurement equipment Desirable.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

• Fully site based at our Margate Kent Facility.
