This individual will drive and have ownership of identifying opportunities for product and process improvement and lead quality improvement activities with cross functional teams. Major Tasks Responsibilities & Key AccountabilitiesEstablish quality standards that address tightening fits finish functional testing visual etc. for all products produced in the manufacturing the ISO 9001 management systemManage product quality programs / projectsCreate set up and audit manufacturing processes and changes to ensure conformance with process control procedures quality standards and engineering specificationsDevelop process for on and offline inspectionsCreate and implement necessary changes to ensure quality standards are metProvide training to ensure that proper procedures are followedEnsure system conform to applicable ISO 9000 standardsResponsible for aftermarket testing and warranty dataRoutinely offer suggestions to improve quality through design based on all of the aboveCreate process improvement communication channels across the manufacturing functionsChampion continuous process improvement amongst teams and its team membersProactively assist the organization in meeting its objectivesOther duties as assigned Minimum QualificationsBachelors degree in engineering or similar from an accredited college or university3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment5S lean manufacturing and six sigma certifiedPreferred QualificationsMasters degree in engineering or related field5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment in a related industryKnowledge Skills Abilities & CompetenciesHighly motivated self-starterStrong analytical skills with a practical balance of shop floor experienceAbility to be a process improvement champion Demonstrated ability to influence changeAbility to work cross-functionallyKnowledge and ability to lead cross-functional teams and initiatives Work with minimal supervisionAbility to delegate workAssist with maintaining ISO 9000 systemEffective verbal and written communication skillsMust wear Personal Protective Equipment as requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word Excel PowerPoint Teams and Microsoft ProjectJob ConditionsBoth office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory to noise and temperature RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those required of an employee to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
