Quality Engineer
Position Summary
The Quality Engineer ensures that products processes and systems meet defined standards of quality reliability and performance. This role drives continuous improvement leads root cause investigations and partners closely with engineering operations and suppliers to prevent defects and optimize quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Develop implement and maintain quality assurance processes procedures and standards.
Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities using tools such as 5 Whys Fishbone and FMEA.
Perform process capability studies statistical analysis and data driven decision making to improve product quality.
Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and quality are built into new products (PFMEA control plans).
Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with AS9100 or other relevant standards.
Develop inspection criteria test methods and quality documentation.
Support production teams with troubleshooting training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Specifications and Customer requirements to ensure ERP system is meeting all requirements
Work with customers and sales groups on concession requests.
Monitor KPIs such as defect rates yield scrap and customer complaints; drive improvement plans.
Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve incoming material quality.
Champion a culture of quality across the organization.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Industrial Electrical or related field).
25 years of experience in quality engineering manufacturing engineering or process engineering.
Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (SPC FMEA MSA control plans Lean/Six Sigma).
Experience with AS9100 or other quality management systems.
Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel Minitab JMP or similar).
Excellent problem solving communication and cross functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings.
Experience with supplier quality management.
Hands on experience in a manufacturing environment.
