Quality Control Technician 1st & 2nd Shift (Built-In Overtime During Peak Season)

About the Role:
Our Quality Control Technicians help ensure every aluminum extrusion leaving Gateway meets the customers exact specifications. Youll inspect material verify dimensions document findings and work closely with production teams to maintain quality accuracy and compliance. If youre detail-oriented and take pride in doing things right QC is where you shine.
Our Quality Control Technicians help ensure every aluminum extrusion leaving Gateway meets the customers exact specifications. Youll inspect material verify dimensions document findings and work closely with production teams to maintain quality accuracy and compliance. If youre detail-oriented and take pride in doing things right QC is where you shine.
Available Shifts:
1st Shift QC:
- MondayThursday: 6:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
- Friday: 6:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m.
2nd Shift QC:
- MondayThursday: 4:30 p.m. 3:00 a.m.
- Overtime during peak production periods on Fridays: 4:30 p.m. 12:00 a.m.
What Youll Do:
- Inspect aluminum extrusions for scratches dents twists and other defects.
- Use measuring tools (calipers micrometers tape measures) to confirm critical dimensions.
- Document inspection results with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Verify routing tags part counts and customer-specific requirements.
- Communicate quality issues to leads supervisors and production operators.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean organized workspace.
- Support continuous improvement efforts across departments.
What You Bring:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to use measuring tools or willingness to learn.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Reliable attendance and a team-oriented mindset.
- Experience in quality inspection or manufacturing is a plus but training is available.
