Job Summary

Position Summary

The Quality Control Inspector will inspect / test purchased and manufactured materials products and assemblies to verify conformance with workmanship quality and performance standards and acceptance criteria. This will require coordination with Production to ensure that manufacturing schedules are met.

Job Responsibilities

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for and has authority that includes:

Preparation of samples to support inspection / test requirements.

Perform first article and routine inspection / test activities.

Organize analyze and present inspection / test results.

Transact and release acceptable material and production lots.

Identify document label and segregate nonconforming material and product; place it on quality hold for review and disposition.

Ensure labeling of materials and products with the appropriate acceptance status.

Recommend necessary adjustments and changes to quality control plans inspection / test methods and production processes.

Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance with the Quality Policy and documented procedures.

Other duties as assigned including manufacturing assembly.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma (or GED) and two years experience in a regulated industry (medical device aerospace automotive).

Proficient computer skills including MS Office (Word Excel).

Ability to read and accurately interpret documents such as policies procedures drawings and other materials related to the position.

Ability to interpret dimensional requirements on drawings and specifications.

Proficient using various measuring tools including but not limited to: ruler micrometer caliper weight scale force gauge and digital multimeter.

Aptitude and interest in hands-on work mathematics and data analysis.

Unwavering commitment to detail accuracy and precision.

Ability to work independently and stay focused until a task is completed.

Effective verbal and written communication to exchange information required to complete essential duties and responsibilities and to provide results and recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications:

ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI).
