Job Summary
POSITION OVERVIEW
SteerBridgeisseekingan experienced and highly skilled Corporate Quality AssuranceLeadto own software QA across our full portfolio of products and platforms. This role ensures that System Design Documentation and Product Owner priorities and requirements are correctly translated into test coverage and properly implementedin accordance withfunctional and security compliance standards. The QA Lead builds and maintains the testing frameworks libraries tools run times and reporting and analytics that make quality accessible and intuitive for engineers acrossSteerBridge and brings deep technical expertise in the internals of frameworks such asPytest Cypress Playwright and TestNG.
Beyond the technical craft this role is expected to cultivate a culture of customer service and positive solution-oriented problem solving. The QA Lead will regularly support technical calls and communications across supported systemsrepresentingquality in triage release readiness and cross-team discussions with the same care and professionalismSteerBridgebrings to its government customers.
Key Responsibilities
Own SteerBridges software QA strategy across products and platforms including testing frameworks libraries tools test execution reporting and analytics.
Partner with technical leads and Product Owners to ensure implementations align with System Design Documentation product priorities and requirements and applicable functional and security compliance standards prior to release.
Maintain deep technical knowledge of test framework internals and develop extensions plugins fixtures shared libraries and reusable QA components to expand testing capabilities across teams.
Build and maintain testing tools and utilities including Excel add-ons data sanitation services command-line interfaces (CLIs) and other solutions that make testing accessible and efficient for engineers.
Prototype new test vectors approaches tools and methodologies while staying current with industry trends and identifying opportunities to improve continuous delivery and QA processes.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance fostering a culture of continuous improvement knowledge-sharing and innovation.
Support technical calls and cross-functional communications with a collaborative customer-service-oriented approach to resolving complex issues across supported systems.
Required Qualifications
Eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship is required for this position under applicable federal contract requirements.
Bachelors or masters degree in Information Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
8 years of software testing experience including performance and load testing across multiple products and platforms.
Deep familiarity with test framework internals and advanced capabilities in Pytest Cypress Playwright or TestNG including experience extending frameworks through plugins fixtures and similar components.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as TypeScript or Python with strong Linux system administration and shell scripting skills.
Experience validating implementations against System Design Documentation Product Owner priorities and requirements and applicable functional and security compliance standards with strong communication and collaboration skills to represent QA in technical and cross-functional discussions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
Experience developing large-scale performance test rigs.
Experience building internal tooling such as Excel add-ons data sanitation services or CLIs to support engineering and QA workflows.
Familiarity with NIST 800-53 or other federal security compliance frameworks.
Experience mentoring engineers and rolling out shared test frameworks across a large engineering organization.

The posted compensation range reflects the scope and requirements of this position. A final offer will be determined based on the candidates relevant experience skills education certifications and work location along with the responsibilities of the position.
