Quality Assurance Auditor Contract

Position Summary

Performs auditing function for all EAMS processes/procedures throughout the facility.

Job Responsibilities

Primary:

• Assists Manager Quality Assurance with creating internal audit checklists.
• Planning and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with aviation regulations and customer requirements.
• Coordinates with all external auditors performing quality audits of EAMS.
• Evaluating operational processes to identify areas of improvement and compliance issues.
• Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings to management.
• Monitoring corrective actions and ensuring they are effectively implemented.
• Assisting in the investigation of incidents and accidents to identify root causes and preventive measures
• Maintains list of approved vendors.

Secondary:

• Provide guidance and training to staff on quality assurance matters.
• Keep up-to-date with changes in aviation regulations and industry standards.
• Participate in safety and quality meetings and workshops.
• Recommend company policies and procedures to reflect current best practices and regulatory requirements.

Essential Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Education:

• A&P Certificate Preferred
• High School Diploma or GED required
• A.S. / B.S. Degree in Aviation preferred

Experience

• Knowledge of AS9100 / ISO 9001 / C.A.S.E.-1A preferred
• Prefer three years experience as an aircraft inspector or auditor
• Practical experience with quality audit procedures (may be met by formal auditor training prior experience as an auditor or a minimum of 40 hours auditor experience with documented On-the-Job Training (OJT) by a qualified auditor).

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of safety and operating procedures while working around aircraft and while working around component maintenance shops.
• Knowledgeable of the following applicable regulations: FAA; NFPA; OSHA.
• Ability to understand company SOPs and customer GMMs.
