The Production Worker / Technician is responsible for assembling testing and inspecting products to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. This role supports the manufacturing process by identifying defects maintaining equipment and following production protocols.
This job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials work-in-progress and finished products to verify conformance to quality standards and specifications.
Utilize various inspection tools and equipment to assess product quality such as calipers micrometers and gauges.
Identify and document quality defects discrepancies and non-conformances.
Initiate corrective actions for quality issues in collaboration with production and engineering teams.
Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records and reports.
Conduct root cause analysis for quality problems and implement preventive measures.
Collaborate with other departments to improve quality processes and procedures.
Stay updated on industry quality standards and regulations.
Electric motor / rotating equipment repair experiencepreferred.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in quality inspection or a manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints engineering drawings and specifications.
Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
Knowledge of quality control principles and methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to weight limit.
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
