Purchasing Director

An outstanding full-time opening has become available in the Louisville KY area for an individual with 10 years experience as a Purchasing Director with a background in the Commercial Construction industry. This position would earn a generous six-figure base salary and a loaded benefits package including medical benefits a 401K w/ matching Short/Long Term Disability Life insurance PTO and other outstanding perks.

Some key responsibilities include:

• Negotiate/evaluate vendor/supplier relationships to optimize terms and costs.
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking to assess/mitigate potential supplier and vendor risk.
• Manage 5-10 direct reports across departments.
• Evaluate procedures and systems including auditing compliance and developing KPI metrics/tracking and reporting.

All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration:

• Please DO NOT APPLY unless you have 10 years of Construction related Purchasing experience in a Department Managing/Director level

• Experience managing the supply chain/purchasing activities for multiple projects/locations/divisions in the US is a MUST

• Previous experience developing implementing monitoring and auditing supply chain strategies that optimize the efficiency of supply operations is a MUST

• Experience evaluating procedures and systems including auditing compliance and developing KPI metrics/tracking and reporting is a MUST
• Forecasting pricing and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power is a MUST

• Experience managing 5-10 direct reports consisting of support staff: Buyers Purchasing Coordinators etc. is a MUST

• Experience with MS Excel including V-Lookup and PIVOT tables is a MUST
• Viewpoint or related software is a PLUS

• Bachelors Degree is a MUST
