Job Summary

The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for reviewing incoming work orders and tickets verifying inventory availability and ensuring job requirements are accurate and complete before being routed for material sourcing and procurement. This role serves as a key support partner to the Purchasing Coordinator by helping maintain organized accurate and efficient purchasing processes. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented organized and comfortable working across multiple departments to keep projects moving smoothly and on schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work Order Review & Verification
Inventory Tracking & Recordkeeping
Cross-Department Coordination
Shipment & Purchase Order Matching

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret work orders tickets inventory records and related documentation.
Basic proficiency with computers spreadsheets and inventory or ticketing software.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively across multiple departments and prioritize competing tasks.

Preferred

Prior experience in purchasing inventory control warehouse operations manufacturing or clerical support roles.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and purchasing processes.
Experience matching purchase orders receipts and shipment documentation.
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment.
Candidates without direct purchasing experience are encouraged to apply; on-the-job training will be provided.
