Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY
Provides principal support in an office by carrying out recurring office procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (Other duties may be assigned:)
  1. Use MS Office Programs and Information Management Systems to complete assigned tasks
  2. Operate office equipment such as computer copier fax typewriter and calculator
  3. Respond to special requests and projects frequently under deadline conditions
  4. File correspondence records and other department documents
  5. Prepare basic reports such as budget payroll and enrollment reports as directed by supervisor
  6. Send receive and distribute faxes
  7. Answer and screen phone calls handling multiple lines
  8. Type correspondences grant applications and other documents from notes copies or rough drafts
  9. Answer routine correspondence not requiring supervisors attention
  10. Communicate with other departments to solve problems
QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education experience knowledge skills and/or abilities required.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or GED required

EXPERIENCE

2 years secretarial experience required

3 years preferred

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Programs.
  • Good organizational skills.
