Position Overview
- Join AeroSpecs established precision prototype and short-run machine shop team
- Work in a shop with extensive capability in manual machining CNC machining welding and precision sheet metal
- Plan fabricate assemble and fine-tune components fixtures tooling and machine mechanisms
- Support highly automated production and test equipment builds
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to solve machining tooling and design-for-manufacturing challenges
- Work full-time first shift 7:00 a.m.3:30 p.m. with overtime opportunities

- Minimum of 8 years experience as a prototype machinist manual machinist toolmaker or machine builder
- Highly skilled with manual machine tools including manual mills engine and toolroom lathes surface grinders and related equipment
- Proficient reading blueprints and interpreting specifications tolerances and GD&T
- Able to perform in-process part inspections using manual measurement tools and equipment
- Capable of solving challenging machining and tooling problems
- Experience building functional machines mechanisms fixtures and tooling strongly preferred
- Knowledge of programming and operating CNC toolroom mills a plus
- Background in sheet metal fabrication a plus
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM programs such as AutoCAD SolidWorks or Mastercam a plus
