Prototype Asset Manager , Leo

Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon LEO will help close the digital divide by delivering fast affordable broadband to a wide range of customers including consumers businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Leo antenna team is seeking a candidate to develop and own the lifecycle procurement tracking and logistics of prototype components and hardware the independent audit reconciliation and accountability function that ensures every piece of Leo IP hardware is accounted for. This role is critical to protecting intellectual property (IP) by establishing a clean separation of duties maturing the reconciliation program as Leo scales and converting accountability data into enforceable controls.

Key job responsibilities
Develop own and mature Leos IP hardware asset assurance
Inventory & Asset Tracking: Managing highly confidential pre-production components tools and mockups. This includes tracking where proto assets are across engineering labs test tracks and vendor facilities.
Establish and maintain SOPs for reconciliation discrepancy classification and closure verification
Execute on the reconciliation methodology cadence sampling criteria and accountability standards for hardware asset system-of-record data
Own verification of enforcement controls; tracker-association gating assignment caps and physical-verification requirements for Critical/High-tier hardware and validate they hold as asset tracking tooling capabilities come online
Own loss-trend and non-engagement analytics (device loss rate non-response rate unrecovered device aging); identify systemic drivers and recommend structural fixes rather than one-off corrections
Partner with the Physical Security Manager and Audit & Compliance Manager to ensure accountability gaps inform design standards and audit strategy

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

- 3 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience with ERP and procurement tools including Oracle Coupa and Ariba
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate accountability data into actionable business language
- 2 years working in enterprise IT or hardware asset management (HAM) and technical program management.

- 3 years of driving end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Experience in stakeholder management dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Bachelors degree in business engineering operations supply chain transportation logistics

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
