Company Profile:

In the summer of 2021 Repsol expanded its renewables operations to the U.S. through the acquisition of a large U.S.-based PV solar and battery storage project developer. This transaction was Repsols first foray into the U.S. renewables 2024 Repsol made another strategic acquisition of ConnectGen from Quantum Capital Group. Repsol Renewables Services North America (RRSNA) is targeting to own and operate 3-4 GW of renewable capacity in North America by 2027.

RRSNA is seeking a Project Management Intern to join our dynamic team and support the planning execution and delivery of utility-scale wind solar and energy storage projects across the United States. This internship offers exposure to multiple aspects of project management including project controls scheduling stakeholder coordination risk management reporting and project execution.

This is a twelve (12) week program starting May 17 2027 August 6 2027 in Downtown Houston. Travel to project sites may be required based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Project Managers in the planning execution and monitoring of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
  • Assist with maintaining project schedules budgets action item logs and project tracking tools.
  • Coordinate with Engineering Procurement Construction Operations Environmental and Development teams to support project objectives.
  • Assist with gathering validating and analyzing project data to support key business decisions.
  • Prepare project status reports presentations dashboards and executive summaries for leadership review.
  • Support project risk tracking issue resolution and mitigation planning activities.
  • Participate in project meetings and document meeting notes action items and follow-up activities.
  • Assist with document control and management of project records contracts permits and project deliverables.
  • Monitor project milestones and support efforts to keep activities on schedule and within budget.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and help identify opportunities to enhance project execution and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to facilitate communication and project alignment.
  • Assist with project close-out activities lessons learned documentation and final reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work/student visa.
  • Enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Project Management Construction Management Engineering Business Administration Supply Chain Management Finance or a related field.
  • Strong interest in project management and renewable energy development construction or operations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel PowerPoint Word and Outlook.
  • Strong written verbal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative cross-functional team environment.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently when appropriate.
  • Exemplary standards of integrity safety ethics quality and productivity.
