Position Summary

Zachry Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful execution of heavyhighwayroad and bridge construction projects. The Project Manageris responsible foroverseeing all phases of project delivery including estimating budgeting scheduling contract compliance safety quality project closeout and client satisfaction. This role provides leadership to field supervision and project engineering teams ensuring projects are completed safely efficiently and according to the companyshigh standardsof excellence.

WhatYoullDo

• Manage the overall planning execution and completion of heavyhighwayroad andbridge construction projects or major segments of such projects.
• Oversee field construction activities engineering and project support operations to ensure projectobjectivesare achieved.
• Lead contract execution to meet project schedule budget and quality goals.
• Establishand maintain strong relationships with owners subcontractors and vendors.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the owner administering the contract and protecting company interestsregardingchanges and claims.
• Organize and direct workforce and field supervision to achieve project milestones and productivity targets.
• Apply negotiation and contract management skills torepresentthe company effectively with owners and external agencies.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with material vendors and subcontractors to support successful project delivery.
• Monitorproject performance and provideaccurateprogress reports to senior management.
• Identifyand resolve project risks and challenges whilemaintaininga proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Mentor and develop project personnel to build high-performing teams and support professional growth.
• Promote a strong culture of safety and accountability across all project activities.
• Performadditionalduties asassigned by leadership.

WhatWereLooking For

• Minimum of 10 years of current or recent heavy highway road and bridge construction management experience.
• Proven success managing medium to large projects ($50M).
• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineeringor related discipline preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Knowledge of the local construction environment and industry practices.
• Strong leadership decision-making and team-building skills.
• A well-rounded knowledge base across multiple construction disciplines.
• Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel and Word.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid drivers licenserequired; must be capable licensed and approved to drive a company vehicle to job sites and other locations as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders scaffolding and walk uneven terrain to access job sites.
• Dependable detail-oriented and driven to deliver successful results.
