The Opportunity:
CACI is excited to announce an opening for a Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Melbourne FL. This role offers a unique chance to drive critical projects from conception through delivery ensuring alignment with technical cost schedule and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in engineering business or supply chain management with a proven track record in the defense or aerospace industry. As a Project Manager you will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams managing Integrated Master Schedules and overseeing production and RMA processes. Your role will be pivotal in optimizing resource utilization maintaining stakeholder communication and ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering production operations supply chain and business teams to meet technical cost schedule and contractual requirements.
Develop maintain and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and related schedules for multiple projects supporting the full lifecycle from proposal through development production delivery and sustainment.
Own day to day schedule management: monitor progress identify risks to key milestones and drive recovery plans with stakeholders.
Manage complex data sets and spreadsheets (e.g. production status RMA dispositions material availability and metrics) ensuring they are accurate current and traceable.
Track production build status; coordinate closely with Operations Manufacturing Engineering Supply Chain and Quality to ensure on time delivery.
Oversee and report on RMA / returns: track units through inspection repair test and re delivery; coordinate with Quality Engineering and Customer Support to meet turnaround time and performance targets.
Prioritize across multiple programs and workstreams to optimize resource utilization and business outcomes.
Work and communicate effectively with logistics planning operations procurement and finance teams to resolve issues and maintain flow of hardware and information.
Act as primary point of contact and deputy to the Program Manager for day to day execution: support development and maintenance of program plans schedules risk and opportunity registers and execution strategies.
Prepare and deliver clear status updates and briefings to senior leadership including schedule performance production metrics RMA status risks and corrective actions.
Lead internal and customer attended meetings (e.g. weekly status reviews production readiness reviews and coordination meetings) to drive decisions and actions.
Track key performance metrics (e.g. schedule adherence on time delivery RMA turnaround cost performance) and drive corrective actions to meet customer and business objectives.
Translate customer requirements Statements of Work (SOW) and contract deliverables into technical baselines work packages and actionable program plans.
Support technical interchange meetings (TIMs) design reviews (SRR PDR CDR) and program reviews (IPR PMRs) including preparation of content and tracking of actions.
Support proposals and new business captures: develop schedules Basis of Estimate (BOE) and inputs to price to win activities; participate in contract negotiations as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements across planning scheduling RMA tracking and production execution to improve predictability efficiency and quality.


Qualifications:

Required:
Bachelors degree in Engineering Business Supply Chain or related field with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience OR a minimum of 9 years of relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.
Experience in the defense or aerospace industry or in a similarly highly regulated environment

Demonstrated experience managing complex projects or programs including schedule development and maintenance using Microsoft Project (or similar tools).

Preferred:
Strong understanding of engineering design processes and driving new products through the development lifecycle and into production.
Working knowledge of manufacturing and production processes (e.g. build planning routings/travelers work orders hardware configuration).
Experience with CostPoint or similar ERP/MRP systems for planning production tracking and/or financial management.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Excel (complex formulas pivot tables charts and data analysis) and Microsoft Project.
Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects balance competing priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interface effectively with customers senior leadership and cross functional teams.
