Project Manager MDU

Job Summary
Candidates must be local to the market/office. This role requires regular in-office collaboration as well as site visits to MDU properties construction locations and customer sites. Candidates must be able to reliably travel to project sites and report to the office as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Oversight: Manage end-to-end delivery of MDU network deployment programs ensuring on-time on-budget and high-quality execution.
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans schedules budgets and resource allocations for multiple concurrent MDU projects.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between engineering construction sales property owners and internal leadership.
- Vendor & Contractor Coordination: Oversee third-party contractors and vendors; ensure adherence to scope schedule quality and safety standards.
- MDU Strategy & Execution: Work with business development and sales teams to identify new MDU opportunities and support pre-sales technical evaluations.
- Site Visits & Field Coordination: Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress coordinate with field teams and property stakeholders identify issues and ensure deployment activities align with project requirements.
- Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify risks manage dependencies and implement mitigation strategies.
- Reporting & Metrics: Provide regular program status reports performance metrics and executive summaries.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement best practices to optimize MDU deployment workflows improve efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Office Collaboration: Participate in regular in-office meetings and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project execution and organizational priorities.
Qualifications
- 5 years of program or project management experience in the telecommunications industry.
- 3 years specifically managing MDU or FTTH (Fiber to the Home) deployments.
- Technical knowledge of fiber network design inside/outside plant construction permitting and property access agreements.
- Strong leadership and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Proficiency with project management tools.
- Financial acumen and experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets.
- Ability to negotiate and manage relationships with property owners and developers.
- Must be local to the assigned market/office and able to work a hybrid schedule.
- Must be available for regular site visits and in-office collaboration as required by project and business needs.
- Ability to travel locally and regionally to MDU properties construction sites and other project locations.
- Note: Flexibility and a willingness to step outside of the defined role at times are essential in this position.
