The Company designs develops constructs and operates biogas powered renewable energy generation systems on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters biogas-powered electric generation and renewable natural gas DescriptionMaas Energy Works (MEW) is seeking a Project Manager 2 to independently own and deliver dairy digester and renewable natural gas projects located in various states. The Project Manager 2 (PM 2) is the project owner for their assigned projects and is accountable for schedule budget scope contracts and stakeholder communication across the full project lifecycle: Feasibility Analysis (Preliminary 30% Design Concept and Financial Project Modeling) Final Civil and Project Design RFP/Bidding Contracting Construction Commissioning and Handoff to Operations and Environmental 2s excel at meeting all Key Performance Objectives of the PM position and demonstrate a depth of understanding management and ownership across every part of a project: engineering and design proformas and financial modeling project schedules legal agreements and contracts scopes of work budgets and the Companys PM software and tools (Wrike Quickbase financial proformas etc.).PMs are leaders not just task executors: they set the tone for success by coordinating departments contractors and project owners and they hold themselves and others accountable to project Ownership & LeadershipIndependently own assigned projects end to end; know where each project stands on schedule budget scope and open issues at all times and drive them to critical path tasks consistently to maintain project momentum and meet project deadlines; manage general tasks so projects gain by example: foster collaboration across departments contractors and project owners; encourage proactive problem-solving; and hold yourself and others project risks early propose mitigations and escalate to the Senior Project Manager with a recommended path & Work Breakdown StructureOwn project schedules and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure for each projectBudget Spending & Financial ControlsOwn project budgets; review and update projected additional costs and notes weekly so budget status is and approve change orders (COs) and purchase orders (POs) efficiently and in accordance with Company & Financial ModelingOwn the project proforma; ensure the project generates the highest return on the project owners investment and keep the proforma current with changes from contracts budgets and design decisions so owners have reliable data for investment Permitting Contracts & ProcurementLead coordination with Engineering on design concepts final civil and project design and design negotiation and execution of project agreements with Legal including commercial agreements easements and lease agreements and owner-builder contracts; track and enforce contract with Permitting to secure required permits and approvals and integrate permit conditions into the project procurement of manure and biogas equipment: scope quotes purchase orders and delivery sequencing against the construction Construction & CommissioningLead RFP and bid package preparation bid leveling and contractor selection with Engineering & Construction IRA compliance for assigned projects: project owners maximize available IRA tax benefits and contractors adhere to Apprenticeship Domestic Content and Prevailing Wage requirements. Lead commissioning coordination and a documented handoff to Operations and Environmental Compliance at project & SkillsMinimum of three years of EPC project management experience with demonstrated ownership of projects through all lifecycle stages: feasibility design bidding contracting construction commissioning and degree in Engineering Construction Management Business Agriculture or a related field preferred; equivalent experience command of project budgets schedules contracts change orders and financial models; able to explain how design and cost decisions affect project to read and interpret construction plans and P& negotiating and administering project agreements and contractor knowledge of IRA prevailing wage apprenticeship and domestic content requirements is a written and verbal communication; able to lead meetings deliver difficult messages constructively and keep multiple stakeholders aligned across organized and accountable; able to prioritize across multiple concurrent projects with limited in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular) and Wrike Quickbase or similar PM and budgeting with anaerobic digesters biogas RNG or dairy operations is a strong be proficient in written and spoken possess a valid US drivers license and be able to pass a background check and a motor vehicle (DMV) background check to qualify for use of a company DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
