Oversee total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with owner representatives subcontractors security and lower management.
Plan coordinate and supervise all activities of all company personnel assigned to project(s).
Plan work schedule determining manpower levels material quantities equipment requirements etc.
Maintain official project log(s) and documentation files through use of company software.
Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of onsite Superintendent to ensure project is built on schedule and within budget investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
Plan coordinate and supervise onsite functions (scheduling engineering material control and day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff if applicable).
Provide technical assistance interpretation of drawings and recommend construction methods and equipment as required.
Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures safety program requirements work rules etc. Document all violations notify project management recommend/implement corrective actions as required.
Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the companys interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the owner.
Represent company in project meetings.
Perform additional assignments per Supervisors direction.
Experience you will need:
Organized and systematic in the work.
Thorough and deep knowledge about construction activities and all the functions.
Must have experience managing multifamily residential housing projects preferably in Connecticut or similar markets with project values ranging from $50 million to over $150 million.
Excellent communicator and should have both verbal and written skills.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain good relationships with the crew.
Possess qualities of a good leader.
Understanding of construction designs and plans.
