Project Manager (Engineering Systems Integrations)

The Global Services team at National Instruments (an Emerson company) is looking for a talented Implementation Engineering Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced startup business area within a well-established leader in Test Automation systems.

You will join a highly experienced growing team and manage the definition development and delivery of custom integrated test systems for some of Emerson/NIs largest customers.

You will also help the team evolve and expand by creating and refining tools and processes and influencing specialization areas.

IN THIS ROLE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

• Responsible for successful delivery of systems integration projects
• Act as primary contact for the customer throughout the project; negotiate scope/schedule changes
• Identify and document customer requirements as needed; work with project team to identify solution and estimate solution cost and timeline
• Collaborate with resource manager to ensure appropriate staffing on projects
• Influence and make decisions about scope schedule and resources for project
• Monitor and report out to stakeholders on project costs status quality; escalate issues when necessary
• Drive process and tool improvement efforts; help define and structure specialization areas for the team

FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED:

• Bachelor of Science degree in STEM (Science Technology Engineering or Math)
• 5 years experience working on systems integration projects for test measurement or automation
• Experience as project manager of large enterprise engineering projects
• Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
  • Individuals with temporary visas such as E F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT) H-1 H-2 L-1 B J or TN or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future are not eligible for hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

• Masters Degreein electrical engineering computer science or related discipline
• Experience communicating with various stakeholders and clients from sole contributor to Executive across multiple disciplines - Engineering Sales Clients
• PMP or other Project Management certification is a plus
• Previous exposure to National Instruments hardware and software first-hand experience using them preferred
• Strong technical and executive communication skills
• Strong understanding of business concepts such as pricing margins terms and conditions preferred
