Summary
Assumes responsibility for translating strategic initiatives into operational project plans for collaboration with project sponsor(s) and leader(s) the project manager plans resources implements controls and evaluates projects that support LVHNs strategic plan. The project manager communicates regularly and often works one-on-one with senior leadership on a wide variety of topics and/or projects.
Job Duties
- Manage proposal and gift agreement process for region through proper channels.
- Support Senior VP with fundraising reporting proposal management and action entry.
- Support SVP with special projects strategic initiatives and departmental priorities.
- Assist with regional budget tracking procurement processes and vendor coordination as assigned.
- Assist in the implementation and administration of regional programs fundraising initiatives and operational processes.
- Support regional advancement events campaign activities and stewardship initiatives including occasional evening or weekend responsibilities.
- Represent OIA Lehigh Valley on assigned committees workgroups and events.
- Coordinate leadership meetings involving donors volunteers faculty administrators and senior leaders.
- Assists the project leadership and/or sponsor(s) to develop the requirements and build a path toward the strategic goals
- Develops the project plan including tasks resources and timeline.
- Manages and motivates multiple teams across several projects to achieve shared goal.
- Develops and integrates comprehensive communication plans to ensure key stakeholders receive key project information
- Identifies documents and manages project risks and project change requests.
- Independently leads and facilitates assigned projects in collaboration with team members key stakeholders and leadership engaging other business and stakeholder groups as necessary.
- Focuses on teams performance ensuring accountability and engagement to deliver project outcomes.
- Prioritizes projects delivering work product within clearly defined timelines while exhibiting open-mindness and ability to manage ambiguity.
- Effectively conducts written and oral project updates for senior management and other leaders.
- Demonstrates eagerness and curiosity to understand core business elements critical to projects success in relevant topics (e.g. healthcare
operations public health patient access and experience healthcare IT human resources finance and revenue cycle and social services) through independent reading professional networking and/or attending relevant conferences & workshops.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree with concentration in project management business management healthcare administration public health social services or relevant field
- 3 years related job experience
- Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines.
- Ability to identify business development and opportunities.
- Interpersonal skills and leadership to manage large complex projects working effectively with internal and external executive personnel to accomplish organizational goals.
- Knowledge of healthcare work processes for all healthcare departments and divisions.
- Maintains appropriate confidentiality in working with stakeholders.
- Strong research and strategic analysis skills.
- Knowledge of various project management techniques to keep all teams aligned and focused on milestone level task reporting.
- Strong emotional intelligence and adept at relationship building.
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters Degree with concentration in project management business management healthcare administration public health social services or relevant field
- PMP - Project Management Professional PMI - State of Pennsylvania
Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing frequent keyboard use *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling bending squatting and performing CPR.
