Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Engineering Intern Summer 2027 to join our Denver CO office.

Your Role

  • Support Aviation project teams in the delivery of infrastructure or facilities programs
  • Support project team in the development or review of project plans estimates schedules and procedures
  • Coordinate operations within organizational unit to ensure consistency with policies and procedures.
  • Under supervision observe the work of contractors involved in the construction of projects and performs quality assurance (QA) activities.
  • Perform non-manual field work that involves applying acquired knowledge and experience to observe moderately complex construction contracts and related activities.
  • Coordinate with field lead / internal project manager and/or owner on assigned tasks.
  • Record and document construction activities in accordance with contract requirements such as daily diaries daily payment reports during progress of work and others as assigned.
  • Participate in internal quality control checks maintaining quality standards in all work produced checking computations and/or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others.

About You

  • EXPERIENCE:
    • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associates or Bachelors degree program in a related technical field.
  • EDUCATION:
    • Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering architectural engineering architecture or construction management degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
  • SPECIAL SKILLS:
    • Ability to walk long distances climb ladders stoop squat and crawl to inspect work; ability to observe construction activities and distinguish colors; and ability to perceive back-up alarms and other warnings.
    • Must be able to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions subject to insects flooded terrain equipment/traffic and other hazards.

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $25 - $31 hourly depending on skills experience and geographical location.
