Job Summary
The Project Engineer (Structural & Restoration) primarily performs engineering tasks and assists with project management throughout the project cycle from initial forensics / schematics through to construction. Projects include a wide variety of building types such as hospitals condominiums schools government facilities and commercial offices
This position is rooted in structural engineering with a varying balance of work on new structures and the restoration of existing structures and building envelopes.
Responsibilities generally include but are not limited to:
- Performing analysis and design for new or existing structures
- Preparing plans specifications and bid documents
- Field work including forensic evaluations on existing buildings
- Writing technical reports
- Coordination with clients (architects other engineers general contractors property managers and condo associations)
- Construction administration including review of shop drawings responding to contractor requests for information field observations and pay application review
An essential part of this role is working as part of a project team to provide deliverables and meet deadlines while providing quality control and quality assurance to ensure these deliverables are on-time and of a high quality. This position will play a critical role in balancing and maintaining internal team needs with the needs of the client to produce a successful project outcome.

Requirements
- B.S. in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program
- Masters degree with structural emphasis is preferred
- Must have passed the FE exam and hold EIT certification.
- 0-2 years of project engineering experience
- Professional verbal and written communication skills are essential for the success of this position
- Working knowledge of engineering software such as STAAD RISA ETABS ADAPT SAFE Ram Structural System Enercalc AutoCAD and Revit a plus.
- Knowledge of façade materials
