Be our next Project Engineer / Project Administrator and join our Transportation Construction Services team in Florida. This role provides leadership oversight and construction engineering administration support on transportation infrastructure projects ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining compliance with FDOT standards and requirements.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Manage and coordinate all phases of Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) construction administration.
  • Direct and assign work to administrative and field staff.
  • Provide leadership and guidance throughout the duration of transportation construction projects.
  • Prepare review and manage progress estimates and final estimates.
  • Exercise independent judgment and initiative in resolving project-related issues and challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with FDOT standards specifications policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and construction records.
  • Communicate effectively with FDOT representatives contractors consultants and project team members.

What your experience looks like

Candidates with a degree in Engineering Engineering Technology or Construction Management:

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Florida preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of engineering experience on relevant transportation projects.
  • A Masters degree in Engineering Engineering Technology or Construction Management may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.

Candidates without a degree in Engineering Engineering Technology or Construction Management

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of CEI roadway or bridge construction experience.
  • At least two (2) years of experience must include relevant transportation projects.

Certifications

  • FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT).
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level II.
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager.
