Job Summary

Description

TheProject Engineer IIis responsible for managing all aspects of project assignments using the Product Development Process (PDP) as a guide to achieve project objectives for New Product Development projects. Responsible for product maintenance cost improvement quality improvement and similar projects. Directs and coordinates a project team in the planning organization implementation and completion of engineering project assignments.

This position will support Rheem North America based in Montgomery AL.



Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering design evaluations to ensure project feasibility and compliance with industry standards.
  • Work to complete projects within budget and scheduling restraints.
  • Review industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy security and regulatory compliance
  • Provide technical support throughout the engineering process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges.
  • Design implement and communicate an operational plan for completing the project; monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
  • Take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.
  • Identify develop and gather resources necessary to complete the project.
  • Prepare engineering designs and work specifications.
  • Develop project schedules budgets and forecasts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years of related experience in Engineering and Manufacturing.
  • Proven work experience as a Project Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with industry rules regulations best practices and performance standards.
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
  • Strong project management and supervision skills.

HOW TO STAND OUT

  • Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of gas combustion principles.
  • Knowledge of heat pump design and heat exchanger optimization.
  • Knowledge of HVAC design principles and vapor compression.
  • Knowledge of analysis & system development tools (e.g. ANSYS/Fluent ANSYS/Mechanical MATLAB LabView Pro/e EnergyPlus GT-SUITE etc.)
