Role Overview

The Project Engineer supports Project Managers with planning coordination documentation procurement field support and closeout for commercial HVAC and plumbing construction projects. This is an entry-level position on the project management career path and is ideal for someone building a career in mechanical construction plumbing HVAC or project delivery.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with planning and execution of commercial HVAC and plumbing construction projects.
• Review plans specifications submittals shop drawings schedules and contract documents.
• Maintain logs and documentation for RFIs submittals drawings meeting notes change items and closeout requirements.
• Support material procurement purchase orders delivery tracking equipment coordination and vendor communication.
• Assist with change orders billing backup schedule updates cost tracking and project reporting.
• Coordinate with general contractors owners subcontractors vendors superintendents foremen and internal operations teams.
• Attend jobsite progress coordination and preconstruction meetings.
• Visit active jobsites to support field coordination progress tracking issue resolution safety and quality efforts.
• Identify design conflicts scope gaps schedule risks and cost-saving opportunities.
• Build professional relationships with customers trade partners and internal teams.
  

Required Background

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• 0 to 2 years of relevant commercial construction mechanical plumbing HVAC or project coordination experience
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings specifications submittals and shop drawings
• Strong organization communication follow-through and task management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
• Willingness to spend time in the field and support jobsite activities
• Commercial HVAC plumbing mechanical piping or construction internship or field experience is a plus
