The Project Engineer-Configurator Management Team (CMT) position is responsible for ensuring the companies sales and design software is up-to-date relative to product offerings and engineering constraints for Spartans emergency response product line to ensure customer requirements are met.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proactively and continuously gain enhanced product knowledge about chassis systems and components through discussion research and training with other internal associates
  • Effectively process quote/order feasibility for design and function
  • Collaborate with engineering and sales to understand product offerings and engineering constraints and apply them within the sales tool
  • Coordinate product design information with cross-function teams (purchasing scheduling production customer service etcetera) to ensure customer requirements are met including support of customer / project teams
  • Troubleshoot configuration rules (option compatibility) issues and implement corrective action(s)
  • Understand engineering design charts data and extract bills of material data
  • Support the creation and development of process flows for the management of data within the product configuration development tool
  • Create feasibility design layouts
  • Other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree in Business Technology or Engineering or equivalent experience required
  • Advanced-level computer skills are required
  • Intermediate-level user in computer aided design (CAD) preferably Solid Works
  • Basic knowledge of computer programming and the willingness to learn more
  • Intermediate-level user in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Positive attitude
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task
  • Creative and innovative team player
  • Proven knowledge (or ability to quickly learn) of the companys assembly process products and components as it applies to the use and implementation of configurator systems
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards

  • Proven ability to plan and handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
