Project Engineer
Job Summary
- Support installation startup and commissioning of UPW reclaim and wastewater systems
- Provide on-site engineering support to construction teams subcontractors and vendors to ensure alignment with design intent
- Troubleshoot process mechanical and system integration issues during commissioning and early operations
- Respond to RFIs and field technical questions coordinating with engineering teams as needed
- Review field changes redlines and as-built conditions to ensure consistency with design documents
- Serve as the primary local technical interface with the customer during project execution and post-project support
- Deliver after-sales support including troubleshooting performance optimization and minor system modifications
- Coordinate with internal teams to execute system improvements upgrades and expansion efforts
- Support preparation and review of engineering deliverables such as equipment specifications P&IDs layouts and vendor submittals
- Provide field feedback to enhance constructability and standardization of designs
- Maintain accurate project documentation and support knowledge transfer to engineering standards
- Apply established engineering standards procedures and safety practices in all work
- Location: Boise Idaho
- Primary work site: Customer site with office support from the Boise Support Center
- Travel: Periodic travel to Plano Texas or other project sites for several weeks at a time
- B.S. degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience
- 38 years of experience in project engineering construction support or commissioning of industrial water systems
- Experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments
- Experience with AutoCAD Plant3D or similar tools
- Working knowledge of UPW reclaim or industrial wastewater treatment systems
- Familiarity with process equipment including pumps pressure vessels valves and piping systems
- Ability to interpret P&IDs layouts and technical specifications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a field environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
