Job Summary

All About You

The ESS Project Director is responsible of the commercial and operational development as well as safety performance of his project. The position is in charge of establishing and achieving business objectives to support ESS division. He/She leads operationial actions the delivery of the project based on ESS process and tools as well as the deployment of after-sales strategy. The position is in charge to settle the proper project organization to develop and to lead the team. The Project Director is supported by the VP Project the head of NAM Region as well as global operation and commercial teams.

Main tasks include:
Build a strong project managemant plan including resources plan strategic planning quality plan communication plan and risk management
Oversee daily operation planning evaluating and optimizing operations to be efficient and cost-effective using ESS methods and tools and international Standards
Provides timely accurate and complete reports on the financial and operating condition of the project
Relationships with partners suppliers and customers
Project forecast/budget preparation and operational performance monitoring
People management Safety and Integrity monitoring

Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Mechanical Industrial Electrical or Electrotechnical Engineering or equivalent
  • MBA master business or commercial would be a plus
  • 15 years of project/program business or financial management
  • Proven leadership under direct management required
  • Knowledge of EPC contract and possible renewable business
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate operations and business activities associated with Microsoft VRT project
  • Coordinate with VP Project NAM region Global Operation and central organization for deployment of processes and tools
  • Coordinate communication between departments (Finances Engineering contract administration contract management sourcing and Quality)
  • Prepare project budget after habdover from sales team
  • Manage project team performance
  • Consolidate and monitor inputs/outputs from monthly project reviews
  • Monitor full Project control including all operational and financial indicators (GM sales cash)
  • Define priorities in accordance with the Division strategy
  • Project organization setup staffing and workload management Trainings projects closing
  • Insure customer intimacy coordinate with management and sales team to build claim strategy
  • Manage the Key Performance Indicators and prepare information for the business reviews of the division. Explain actuals compared to monthly/quarterly/yearly forecasts
  • Apply project management best practices on Microsoft VRT project
  • Drive commercial and Operations associated with Microsoft VRT project
  • Built follow and challenge the strategic planning with peers and suppliers.
  • Build and lead Sales & Cash forecast
  • Be a major actor to Compliance & EHS/Safety actions and performance: be fully compliant with SAFT rules and processes.
  • Ensure the application of the SAFT financial instructions and the ESS instructions on the project. Participate to EHS monitoring actions perform HSV
  • Follow SAFT compliance Policies (Code of Conduct) and promote open reporting
  • Monitor and communicate an overview of project activity and performance
  • Launch improvement actions to reach operations excellence. Share best practices and returns on experience (REX)
  • Quality and continuous improvement
  • Build lead & coach project team
