Project Controls Scheduler II (Hybrid)

Your role:

Under the direction of Project Managers and discipline leads the CPM Scheduler II develops detailed accurate Critical Path Method schedules and maintains them throughout the project lifecycle. The role includes project planning progress measurement forecasting and schedule reporting for multidisciplinary engineering procurement and construction projects.

  • Develop maintain and update detailed Critical Path Method schedules for engineering projects.
  • Create baseline schedules using Primavera Cloud and/or Microsoft Project including project milestones activity logic calendars constraints and resource assignments.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers discipline leads clients contractors and subcontractors to obtain schedule inputs and maintain schedule accuracy.
  • Analyze schedules to identify critical and near-critical activities and potential delays.
  • Monitor actual progress against approved baseline schedules and prepare weekly and monthly schedule performance reports.
  • Develop recovery acceleration and mitigation plans when projects experience delays or schedule variances.
  • Interface project schedules with budgets labor forecasts staffing plans and project controls reporting.
  • Facilitate schedule review meetings and communicate schedule status concerns and recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Perform schedule impact analyses for scope changes change orders client-directed modifications and other project impacts.
  • Review contractor and subcontractor baseline schedules monthly updates look-ahead schedules and impact schedule submittals for compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain milestone trackers look-ahead schedules dashboards schedule narratives and executive reporting metrics.
  • Support resource planning and staffing forecasts across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Assist project teams in identifying schedule-related risks and developing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure scheduling practices conform to company standards contract requirements and project controls procedures.
  • Provide scheduling guidance training and mentorship to project team members on CPM principles and scheduling best practices.
  • Support schedule claim analysis delay studies and schedule documentation for dispute resolution when required.
  • Potential for up to 10% for travel to construction job sites or client offices.

Your resume must include:

  • Associate degree or certificate in construction management engineering technology project controls or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and directly related project scheduling or project controls experience may be considered.
  • Experience developing and maintaining CPM schedules for engineering or construction projects is required.

Hourly Rate: $28.50 48.00 per hour. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including but not limited to market data geographic location experience and specialized skills.
