Shift: Monday through Friday from 6pm to 2:30am

The Project Cleaner & Event Support will be responsible for event setups and breakdown according to scheduled events trash removal special projects (floor and carpet cleaning) completion of assigned work orders and other related duties as required. **Snow removal is a mandatory aspect of this job. **

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the placement and set-up of tables chairs club tables cocktail tables and any other furniture utilized by the University to meet the needs of its various clients and departments.
  • Ability and working knowledge of floor equipment; burnishing machines floor scrubbers extractor machines wet/dry vacuums etc. is preferred but not necessary.
  • Properly clean and buff tile floor services as needed.
  • Maintain an ongoing rotation building by building of detailed project work
  • Working knowledge of proper floor chemicals used in the process of flooring projects.
  • Stripping and waxing as well as carpet extraction occurs occasionally throughout the year.
  • During the winter months this position will be responsible for snow removal and is considered a mandatory part of this position.
  • Follow all safety and personnel rules and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read write and understand English.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid drivers license per job requirements
  • 1-3 years working experience in floor care.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and standard cleaning practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
  • Must be able to perform all physical aspects of the above job duties including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Mandatory OT is required during various times throughout the year.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement the geographic area in which the work will be performed market pay rates in that area and the candidates experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $21.42 - $25.20
