PROJECT ARCHIVIST FOR ACCESS Libraries is a full-time three-year term role focused on improving access to archival collections. This hybrid position (four days on-site) supports initiatives related to collection management researcher access processing and digitization. Responsibilities include reviewing collections for restrictions updating access information in ArchivesSpace and supporting projects that enhance knowledge and usability of collections. The Project Archivist also provides regular reading room support assisting researchers and contributing to a welcoming informed and service-oriented environment for users of the Institute Archives.

Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Masters degree in Library Archival or Information Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a minimum of one year of experience in an archival setting; demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly and in accordance with privacy and ethical standards; strong research analytical organizational and written communication skills with close attention to detail accuracy and efficiency; and ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong critical thinking problem-solving and adaptability skills. PREFERRED: Experience in academic libraries or archives; public service experience with diverse communities archival processing and description; and familiarity with ArchivesSpace or similar archival management systems.
