Job Summary

This position is responsible for analysis development modification installation testing and maintenance of systems software in support of the State Department of Public Health (ADPH) Bureau of Vital Statistics. The person must possess a strong understanding of system development graphical user interfaces and control languages. The position should develop modify and debug software and stored procedures. The position is responsible for technical documentation for system software applications. This person should diagnose and debug software problems and provide resolutions. This position will monitor various systems report issues and provide technical support for end users.

Key Responsibilities

Objectives of the Role:

  • Writing clean scalable and efficient code using the .NET framework.
  • Testing and debugging applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze project requirements.
  • Coding testing and debugging software applications ensuring high-quality and efficient performance.
  • Participating in system integration troubleshooting and performance optimization.

Your Tasks:

  • Develop software solutions using the .NET CORE MVC and WebForms.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to understand application requirements.
  • Write efficient reusable scalable code in C# JavaScript BootStrap SQL and technology.
  • Conduct code reviews unit testing and debugging to ensure software functionality.
  • Integrate software components with third-party systems and services.
  • Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing software applications.
  • Stay informed about advancements in framework and related technologies.
Required Skills
  • Strong understanding of Core MVC C# and object-oriented programming.
  • Proficiency in database design and SQL.
  • Experience with web development technologies including and MVC.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality and efficient software solutions.
  • Efficient communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns.
Preferred Skills
  • Professional certification development or related technologies.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML CSS BootStrap and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of database systems cloud computing platforms and SQL.
  • Familiarity with software version control systems (DevOps).
  • Understanding of security best practices in software development.
  • Experience working within a team.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
Required Experience
  • 5 years minimum of relevant experience required.
  • 5 years of experience using C# JavaScript BootStrap SQL and technology.
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • Candidate will work 100% onsite in Montgomery AL.
  • No remote work allowed.
