Job Summary

Support timeline management andassistin meeting target deliverables on schedule and to a high standard. 

  • Oversee and implement theGladys K. WashingtonConnecting Leaders Fellowship Program(CLFP) includingmanaging:executive coach liaison;application announcementprocess;applicant review process and committee (when available);cohortSummit;vendor relationships;surveysand information collection (). 

  • Partner with the Conference and Convening Manager to ensure the successful planning and execution of the annual conference by providing programmatic leadership aligning content andlogisticsmonitoringbudgets and timelines and supporting cross-functional collaboration. 

  • Manage Call for Session process fortheannual conferenceand support content curation of other programs(researching speakers/VIP presenters;create and launch online session request form;coordinate session submissions;and coordinate speaker notifications and schedule prep calls). 

  • Serve asstaff andspeaker/presenter liaisonfor programs/events (conference; CLFP; webinars; etc.) including coordinatinginvite lists and specifications and pre- and post-eventpreparation coordination. 

  • Support the coordination and implementation of programs and initiatives led by the Programs Department including webinars virtual and in-person events learning opportunities and other special projects. 

  • Prepare andsubmitquarterly program reports highlighting key activities outcomes participant engagement and impact while sharing relevant insights and updates with internal departments to support organizational alignment. 

Relationship Management 

  • Serve as staff liaison for CHANGE Philanthropy network including UNITY Summit planning task forceas needed. 

  • Maintain keyexternal andinternalrelationships includingfoundation and nonprofit professionals ABFE members mission-aligned sector partners and subject matter experts as well as collaboration withother ABFEprogrammaticeffortsmembership administrationand otherABFE establishment& executionof evaluation vehicles for ongoing program assessment. 

Communications Support 

  • Coordinate withthemarketing and communications teamto develop and distributeprogram-related activities web announcements emailblasts blog postsspecial event promotionetc. for programming. 

  • Monitor website programcontentanddisseminate/monitor as needed. Alertappropriate staffof any changes as needed 

Administrative Support 

  • Facilitate program meetings by developing agendas documenting key decisions and action items and coordinating follow-up to ensuretimelyexecution. 

  • Coordinate program-related financial activities by reviewing andsubmittinginvoices and expense documentationmonitoringprogram budgets and partnering with the Finance Department to ensuretimelyandaccurateprocessing. 


Qualifications :

Required Education and Experience 

  • Bachelors degree oran equivalentcombination of education and professional experience. 

  • Four to six (46) years of progressively responsible experience in nonprofit program management program administration or project coordination. 

  • Experience working in philanthropy racial equity social justice or a mission-driven nonprofit organization is strongly preferred. 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities 

  • Demonstrated commitment to ABFEs mission and an understanding of racial equity principles and practices. 

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities simultaneously. 

  • Excellent planning problem-solving and follow-through abilities. 

  • Outstanding written verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • Strong facilitation and relationship-building skills. 

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to collaborative teams. 

  • High levelof attention to detail and commitment to quality. 

  • Experience managing consultants vendors and external partners. 

  • Ability to analyze information and prepare concise reports. 

Technical Skills 

Proficiencywith: 

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint) 

  • Salesforce or comparable CRM systems 

  • Asana or other project management software 

  • Zoom and other virtual meeting platforms 

  • Email marketing platforms 

  • Database management systems 

  • Social media and digital communication tools 


Additional Information :

Travel Requirements:

Periodic travel isrequired including attendance at the annual conference regional meetings fellowship events and other organizational convenings.
