Role: Program ManagerReports to:DirectorProgram: Inside SafeDepartment:HousingLocation: E6 Olympic - 1625 W Olympic Blvd Ste #603 LA CA 90015Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00am 4:30pmStatus: Full Time Exempt (Salary) ManagementBenefits: Medical Dental Vision Retirement Planning (403b) Employee Assistant Program (EAP) Program Manager will provide leadership and oversight to the 5 case managers contracted with the Mayors office for the Inside Safe program. These teams are part of a new initiative by the Mayors office to expeditiously move individuals in priority encampments into hotels and provide ongoing case management and housing navigation in order to quickly match them and move them into appropriate permanent housing resources. The Program Manager will conduct outreach but also be responsible for efficiency of operations coordinating services with partner agencies as needed and fostering collaboration within the team and between other departments and programs. The Program Manager is also responsible for administrative aspects of team leadership including data oversight and reporting of outcomes. The Program manager will also provide administrative supervision onboarding and training to staff Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to the Inside Safe teams ensuring continuity of care and services between The People Concern agency resources and partnering agenciesProvide individual and team supervision support and performance evaluations for all assigned support during emergencies and crisis situationsEnsure that services emphasize customer choice and harm reductionProvide trainings to staff regarding permanent housing applications and appropriate data available to respond to emergency calls and situations on a 24-hour basis when neededAssist in the screening assessment and enrollment of clients in a range of servicesEnsure all paperwork and data collection is complete timely accurate and current in agency records and electronic databases through on-going audits of electronic data bases and chart reviewsWork in collaboration with team members to remove barriers to permanent housing; e.g. acquisition of identification legal aid benefits assistance life skillsEnsure adherence to funding source contracts and performance standards; prepare written reports on program activities as assigned and as required by funding sourcesProvide training to staff on policies and procedures of the programAs needed assist in the screening assessment and enrollment of clients including orientation to program policies resources and goalsEnsure all client related paperwork data collection and data systems are complete timely accurate and current in agency records and electronic databasesProvided data reports to Director of E6Participate in meetings with funder and provide appropriate updates and data demonstrating progress and successful for program auditing to ensure compliance with applicable funder and regulatory requirementsIn coordination with the Director complete required reporting to ensure outcomes are on trackInput monthly stats into agency wide trackerCollate monthly housing placements and report data in appropriate trackerParticipate in outreach activates when appropriateOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelors degree and 3 years experience providing outreach services to individuals living on the streetsExtensive experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disordersAt least 1 year of management/supervisory experience preferredExperience managing a team of staff and providing direct supervisionExperience working in a nonprofit setting a to work in a high tolerance Harm Reduction critical thinking problem-solving and team building oriented with excellent time management organizational written verbal interpersonal and computer skillsCurrent valid California Drivers with an acceptable driving recordAble to obtain and maintain CPR/1st Aid certificationWork EnvironmentOn occasion walk or drive to different local sitesRegularly required to sit stand bend and occasionally lift or carry up to 35 poundsField (may need to travel) and indoor office environmentWill necessitate working in busy and loud environmentsWill be exposed to elements like cold heat dust noise and odorMay need to bend stoop twist and sit throughout the dayRESPONSIBILITIES COMMON TO ALL AGENCY EMPLOYEESMaintain a safe work environment and confidentiality at all timesBe proactive creative and flexible in determining evaluating researching and resolving issuesOrganize and prioritize multiple activities to meet all external and internal deadlinesMaintain professional demeanor that reflects positively on the agencyDemonstrate respect and courtesy toward othersAble to thrive in a work environment emphasizing teamwork and collaborationRespond in a timely manner in all aspects of communicationWork with minimum supervisionPerform other duties as assignedAbout the People ConcernThe People Concern empowers the most vulnerable among us to rebuild their lives.
