Toyotas Product Profit Lifecycle Management (PPLM) Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support full vehicle lifecycle profitability by assisting with cost and price management from early concept through production. It plays a key role in Toyotas transition to enterprise profit-focused operations by delivering financial insights that inform development decisions and our long-term mobility strategy.
Reporting to the PPLM Manager the person in this role will support the PPLM departments objective to work closely with cross-functional teams to support schedule management assess financial performance identify risks and opportunities and contribute to actions that improve vehicle-level and enterprise profitability. This role offers valuable exposure to PPLM processes and cross-functional collaboration creating a strong foundation for continued professional growth.
What youll be doing
Assist with Planning and Coordination
o Support project schedules and milestones from concept through production
o Align profit targets with Sales Design Plant Logistics and other functional groups
o Assist in execution of roles deliverables and timelines
o Use strong communication and follow-up to maintain alignment and accountability
Support Financial Performance Analysis
o Compare Cost Planning Pricing Ideal Budget and PBM Actuals based on lifecycle phase
o Identify and explain cost and price drivers impacting profitability
o Provide clear gap-to-target analysis to support recovery actions and strategic decisions
Support Profitability Monitoring and Target Management
o Track inputs across Cost Planning Pricing Ideal Budget and PBM Actuals
o Monitor Risks and Opportunities to support target management and long-term profitability
Support Manufacturing and Investment Strategy
o Partner with Enterprise Strategy & Solutions on plant line and localization studies
o Support financial analysis to guide capacity planning and capital investment decisions
Support Tools and Process Standardization
o Develop scalable analysis templates tools and systems to improve efficiency and consistency
o Document and standardized processes that enable data-driven decision-making across the vehicle lifecycle
What you bring
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field
2 years of relevant experience in Product or Program Finance Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or Strategic Cost/Profit Analysis
Experience in cross-functional collaboration and financial storytelling
Strong Excel skills (i.e. v-lookups pivot tables) and exposure to data visualization tools
Ability to support multiple projects and adapt in a dynamic fast-paced environment
Added bonus if you have
MBA or advanced degree in a related field
Project Management coursework experience or certification (i.e. PMP CAPM)
Familiarity with SAP Tableau Power BI or other financial systems
Experience with vehicle lifecycle management cost planning or manufacturing finance
Interest or background in process improvement standardization or tool development
