Job Summary

Location: Danvers and Peabody MA Area

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Target Pay: $70720 per year

Job Summary

As the Program Director of Business Operations you will lead mission-driven business ventures that promote positive outcomes for the individuals we serve while ensuring operational excellence financial sustainability and continued growth.

As the Program Director of Business Operations you will provide leadership and operational oversight for Heritage Shredding The Caning Company and Steps to Create all operating within the Community Employment Services (CES) division.

This role provides leadership and oversight for Northeast Arcs social enterprises ensuring operational excellence regulatory compliance financial sustainability and quality service delivery. The Program Director will supervise staff manage resources and balance mission-driven services with the business financial and growth needs of each enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership oversight and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities participating in CES programs ensuring person-centered services meaningful employment opportunities and positive outcomes while balancing operational and business objectives.
  • Assist with recruitment onboarding training supervision coaching and performance management of employees in collaboration with program leadership; monitor program performance and outcomes implementing improvements to support operational effectiveness and service quality.
  • Promote cross-program collaboration and operational flexibility to support the needs of individuals served throughout the Day Services Division.
  • Provide operational oversight of Heritage Shredding to ensure growth within the customer base and that materials are secured and destroyed according to industry standards; maintain NAID certification and ensure adherence to all applicable security confidentiality quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Apply business acumen to assess the financial health operational performance market position and growth potential of each assigned business using data customer trends revenue performance expenses staffing levels and production capacity to make informed business decisions.
  • Develop and implement business plans pricing strategies productivity goals and growth initiatives that support both mission impact and financial sustainability.
  • Oversee marketing sales and business development activities to increase visibility customer engagement and revenue generation; develop new business opportunities and promote the growth of existing businesses.
  • Serve as a primary liaison to customers community partners and stakeholders promoting positive relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Labor requirements DDS regulations quality standards established internally and by the Office of Quality Enhancement (DDS) accreditation requirements and agency policies and procedures; ensure staff receive required training and maintain compliance with applicable industry standards.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • BA/BS preferred with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience within human services.
  • Experience managing business operations social enterprise programs revenue-generating services or comparable operational/business functions within human services vocational services employment services or disability service organizations strongly preferred.
  • May substitute education with additional supervisory and/or relevant business operations experience.

Skills Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge of person-centered supports community-based employment services and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and manage revenue expenses profitability customer needs market opportunities and operational performance.
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational data and translate findings into practical business strategies.
  • Knowledge of sales customer service pricing budgeting production planning and business development practices.
  • Understanding of DDS billing and reporting systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel Word Outlook ACT! and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent organizational administrative and interpersonal skills with strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.

Driving Requirements

  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.

  • Must be able to meet the physical needs required to support people served.
  • Must successfully complete and pass all required background checks as a condition of employment.
