ProductionRepair Operator

Introduction
Visium Resources has been asked to identify qualified candidates for this Production/Repair Operator position. This position is a contract opportunity which is expected to be on-site in Orlando FL for a duration of 6 months.

Summary

TheProduction/Repair Operatoris responsible for advanced fabrication assembly inspection troubleshooting and testing of cable & harness assemblies electromechanical subassemblies placards and related components for In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity products. This role supports schedule design quality and FAA requirements with elevated proficiency and reduced supervision.

Essential Functions/Key Areas of Responsibility

• Reads interprets and applies engineering drawings technical specifications schematics and work instructions with minimal supervision.
• Fabricates inspects and tests cable & harness assemblies including more complex multi-branch configurations.
• Performs intermediate troubleshooting of production issues wiring errors incorrect terminations continuity faults and assembly defects.
• Programs and inspects labels/placards using labeling equipment; performs basic maintenance on machines.
• Performs and documents preventative maintenance and calibration checks on assigned tools and equipment.
• Supports continuous improvement activities including 5S quality containment and root cause identification.
• Mentors Level 1 assemblers on basic tasks and correct workmanship practices.
• Performs additional duties such as material handling part kitting and supporting Florida locations using company vehicles.
• Performs advanced testing using HIPOT continuity multi-meters VSWR testing torque tools automated test equipment and documentation systems.

Top Skill Set:

Minimum 2 Years of Relevant Experience: Candidates must possess at least two years of hands-on experience in cable and harness assembly or related electromechanical work.

Blueprint/Drawing Proficiency: Ability to read interpret and work directly from engineering blueprints schematics or technical drawings.

Mechanical Tool Expertise: Demonstrated experience using a variety of mechanical tools such as multimeters VSWR testing equipment torque tools stripping tools calipers and other measurement instruments.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED required; technical coursework preferred.
• Ability to pass or maintain IPC-A-620A certification (Required).
• 4 years of related experience in cable/harness or electromechanical assembly.
• 2 years of SAP experience.
• 3 years of inventory control or shipping & receiving experience.
• Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
• Experience operating a forklift and pallet jacks as required
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of IPC workmanship standards.
• Intermediate proficiency with crimping soldering coax tooling stripping and measurement tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to perform tasks with minimal supervision and high accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the imperial of U.S. customary system of measurement.
