Job Summary
The Production Trainer develops delivers and maintains training programs that support safe compliant and effective manufacturing operations. As the primary internal instructor for electronics workmanship standards (IPC J-STD-001 IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620) the Trainer provides classroom and hands-on instruction to Electronics Assembly Technicians Quality Control Inspectors and other applicable personnel.
The Trainer owns manufacturing training compliance including new-hire onboarding certification recertification qualification tracking training records and the identification of training gaps to ensure employees maintain required qualifications.
In partnership with EHS Manufacturing Quality and Production Test the Trainer supports broader employee training needs including PPE hazard communication ergonomics and emergency procedures.
This is an onsite role reporting to the EHS & Facilities Manager. Regular presence is required across manufacturing inspection laboratory training and office areas to deliver instruction and support operational effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as an internal instructor for IPC J-STD-001 IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 including certification and recertification. Obtain and maintain required company-sponsored Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) credentials.
- Deliver classroom and hands-on manufacturing training using applicable IPC standards internal procedures drawings work instructions and workmanship requirements.
- Maintain the training and qualification matrix and proactively manage certification expirations new-hire requirements enrollment scheduling completion and audit-ready training records.
- Ensure required training and qualifications are completed on time and escalate missed expired or unsuccessful training to appropriate supervisors and management.
- Provide new-hire refresher and remedial training based on process changes workmanship issues NCR trends audit findings or identified skill gaps.
- Partner with EHS & Facilities to coordinate and deliver safety training including PPE hazard communication ergonomics emergency procedures new-hire safety orientation and other applicable topics.
- Identify opportunities to expand training that improves employee safety quality capability and operational performance.
- Follow SEAKR rules and regulations as documented in the SEAKR Employee Handbook.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Up to 10% travel may be required for instructor certification and training.
Qualifications :
Knowledge Skill & Ability
- Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing assembly inspection and workmanship practices.
- Ability to obtain and maintain instructor credentials for IPC J-STD-001 IPC-A-610 and IPC/WHMA-A-620. Current CIT credentials preferred; required certifications will be company sponsored.
- Ability to teach technical concepts and demonstrate hands-on electronics assembly and workmanship skills.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings work instructions specifications and technical requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training and certification requirements.
- Ability to identify and escalate training compliance risks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and ability to use applicable ERP and training systems.
Education or Formal Training
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Technical education or training in electronics manufacturing electronics assembly quality or a related field preferred.
Experience
- 5 years of electronics manufacturing assembly inspection or related experience.
- Previous technical or hands-on training experience preferred.
- Aerospace defense or high-reliability electronics experience preferred.

Compensation: Base pay range is $38-48/hour depending on qualifications.
