Job Summary
Come join our growing team in Waterloo Iowa! Reporting to the 2nd Shift Supervisor you will oversee production processes involved in the manufacturing of Davids Sunflower Seeds. You will safely and efficiently operate and maintain production equipment while meeting quality safety and operational standards. We offer opportunities for growth and proudly promote from within.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot repair maintain and monitor production equipment.
- Perform product checks to verify quality standards.
- Operate a sitdown forklift and scissor lift.
- Complete equipment sanitation and routine preventive maintenance.
- Conduct daily weekly and monthly equipment inspections.
- Identify and communicate safety quality or operational issues.
- Use precision hand and powered tools.
- Maintain a clean work area and follow 5S requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production equipment.
- PCbased computer literacy.
- Flexibility to work overtime based on business needs.
Physical Requirements
More information on the essential tasks and facility will be shared during the hiring process. Please be aware that in a manufacturing environment the noise levels can be high and the temperatures may vary. Depending on the role physical and environmental requirements can differ but include:
- Being on your feet walking around the facility climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.
- Performing consistent repetitive tasks.
- Frequently lifting pushing or carrying materials.
