Weare currently seeking aProductionSupervisorto join our team of skilled professionals based at our Bismarck Missouri plant. This plant produces granules for our shingle plants in a high speed continuous asphalt shingle manufacturing process environment

Job Summary

The ProductionSupervisorwillberesponsible foroverseeing daily production activities within the granules manufacturing facility to ensure safe efficient and high-quality operations. This position leads production employees coordinates workflow monitors production schedulesmaintainscompliance with safety and quality standards and drives continuous improvement initiatives to meet operational goals.This role willreportto the Production Manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily granule production activities to meet production targets and customer requirements.

  • Providing leadership and coaching to productionemployees to meet all safety environmental quality cost and service goals andobjectives.

  • Providing leadership to drive continuous improvement through the application of methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma 5S working directly withproduction team

  • Providing leadership tomaintaina highly engaged workforce. Partners with HR and HSE in areas of performance management employee involvement organizational change staffing employee developmenttrainingand safety.

  • Collaboratewith other production supervisors to ensure operational consistency

  • Manage employee attendance performancedisciplineand trainingin accordance withcompany policies.

  • Mentoringand evaluatingimmediate direct reports andestablishingan effective team that is accountable and capable of achieving all performance goals.

  • Assuring plant housekeeping meets company standards implements andmaintainsa 5S program to sustain improvements.

  • Promote a strong safety culture where employees believe that all injuries are preventable.Investigate and prepare reports on safety near-misses injuries and workplace hazards.

  • Maintain adherence to Company andMSHA safety standards

  • Conduct regular crew meetings to provide production employees with the information they need to do their jobs. This includes communication of safety quality and production changes progress toward goals and overall plant performance.

  • Develop recommend and implement measures to improve production methods equipment performance and quality of product.Operate within standard operating and Quality procedures.

  • Work cooperatively with productionmaintenanceand qualityteams toidentifyand resolve production issues in an efficient manner andassistin the resolution of quality / production problems.Identifyandeliminateroot causes of problems and ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in industrial technology engineering business administration or management preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • Supervisory experience in high-speed continuous process manufacturing is an asset

  • Experience with continuous improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturingor Six Sigmaa plus

  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Strong written verbal and presentation communication skills

  • Proventrack recordof operational improvements through employee engagement and team building

  • Excellent time management planning and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of Workday time and attendance system is an asset

  • Understanding ofMSHA regulations and workplace safety requirementsa plus

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to climb stairs ladders and platforms.

  • Ability to occasionallylift upto 50 pounds.

  • Ability to wear required PPE including hardhats safety glasses hearing protection and respirator when.

  • May require rotating shifts weekends overtime and on-call support as needed.
